Besides the weather totally sucking: translation no spring yet. This is my favorite time of the year for sports. No, it’s not the NCAA basketball tournament. And it’s not the start of baseball season. Or maybe it’s still spring training? I don’t know, because I’m a rink rat. A hockey whore. A puck bunny. The NCAA men’s hockey tournament started today and I’m in heaven. It will be better if my alma mater posts a win, but regardless, I’m a huge hockey fan.
So, I have a book coming out on April 21 called Picks & Pucks. The main character Justin Corrin, is a figure skater, but has many ties to hockey. He was a gifted player who chose Picks over Pucks. His father is a division one hockey coach. His brother plays overseas. And Justin has a thing for getting involved with hockey boys, which usually means, things don’t turn out so well for him. Maybe this time it will be different.
Picks & Pucks is available for pre-order on the Dreamspinner website. The college hockey boys are playing on ESPNU. Take a peek. It’s thrilling.
