In one week, Frozen Hearts, will be released. This will be my first novel. I’ve had a few short stories released but this is the first story that isn’t part of an anthology. The best thing was getting my own cover. To say I was happy when the art work showed up in my email is a freaking understatement. All right, I may have cried…just a little…
The story focuses on Erik Fox, the best college hockey player in the nation. He’s hanging up his skates because he’s tired of living a lie. Five years ago, Erik was forced by his father to change schools in the middle of the night when his father found out about his indiscretion. Erik had a boyfriend and hockey players do not date boys.
With his college career over, Erik is determined to change his life. Can Erik make peace with the boy he left behind and find the life he wants to live, or is he going to fold under the pressure from his father and everyone else who thinks he is defined by the game of hockey.
Next week when the book releases, I will be at a hockey game. Pretty fitting.
OOoo-KAY finally…It took me at least 20 minutes to figure out how to get a photo on my sidebar with a link. I suppose I shouldn’t really advertise that I can sometimes be a total idiot, but dammit, I didn’t give up and it finally worked. Not sure exactly what I did…but it’s there.
Of course, I spent so much time on that image, I cannot remember what monumental thing I was going to blog about?? Guess I’ll just have to write about my upcoming novel release. Yes, it’s almost time for Frozen Hearts to be released. The last of the edits were taken care of and the manuscript is now off to be formatted. The release date is March 2, 2013.
So….Frozen Hearts, my new M/M romance novel…pause here and insert blatant advertising…
Frozen Hearts, the new novel from Teegan Loy will be released on March 2, 2013. Bring on the hockey boys.
Right, anyway, the book has now gone through two rounds of edits. Nothing big, just the usual thing with me and commas. I apparently do not use enough of the stupid things. And I really don’t know when to use the … versus the — I suppose I could research the rules, but that would mean I’d have to search out and read them…wastes valuable writing time, I say. I’ll just leave it up to my brilliant editors to take care of the lines and dots and commas.
The one thing I did have to correct was an overuse of one word in a paragraph. hehehehe…made me giggle when I say I used the word COCK at least five times in one paragraph. Don’t really know what the problem was…you can never have too much cock, right!? Oh well, I rewrote a few sentences and reduced the usage of cock. Well, not the usage, just the word. Okay…apparently, I’m into bad jokes today.
That’s it for today … I’m outta here
